The Revenue and Transportation Interim Committee holds its next meeting on March 13-14 in rooms 137 and 317 of the Capitol in Helena, beginning at 8 a.m. each day. The agenda and materials for the meeting are available on the committee’s website.

The Water Policy Interim Committee identified exempt groundwater wells as one of its study issues for the 2017-2018 interim. The committee meets Jan. 8-9 in room 172 of the Capitol in Helena.

The 2017-2018 Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee (ETIC) will hold a conference call October 26 to discuss a letter to the Montana congressional delegation concerning recently proposed federal solar tariffs.

The legal landscape facing the use of exempt groundwater wells has changed over the last 3 years, and the Water Policy Interim Committee plans to survey the new playing field. WPIC begins its two-day meeting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 9 in room 172 of the state Capitol building in Helena.

The Environmental Quality Council meets Sept. 27-28 in room 172 of the Capitol. The bipartisan council is scrutinizing the parks division of the Department of Fish, Wildlife and Parks (FWP).

The Montana Legislature’s Environmental Quality Council will tour a watercraft inspection station at Canyon Ferry Reservoir on June 29 before returning to the Capitol to decide what policy issues the legislative committee will tackle over the next year.

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality has extended the time for the public to comment on the scope of an Environmental Analysis for the Crevice Exploration Project. The new deadline for comments is March 10, 2016.
