HELENA, MT – Secretary of State Corey Stapleton welcomed Montana’s newly elected Representatives to the 65th legislative session. Stapleton commended the legislators for their desire to serve, and encouraged both sides of the aisle to lead with humanity, dignity, and integrity.
“I’m pleased to welcome a new class of public servants to the legislature,” said Stapleton. “There are ample opportunities to work together and find commonsense solutions for Montanans. I look forward to serving with each of the legislators.”
Stapleton is a fourth-generation Montanan from Great Falls, Montana. After graduating from the Naval Academy with an engineering degree, Stapleton spent eleven years as a Surface Warfare Officer before returning to Montana. Corey served in the Montana State senate from Billings (2001-2009), and was the Republican Leader before being term-limited. He has been a businessman and financial advisor for 20 years in Billings. He and his wife Terry have four children.
