OPI Announces “Montana Proud” American Indian Poster Series
July 27, 2018
HELENA—State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen announced on Thursday that the Office of Public Instruction’s Indian Education Division is doing a second round of “Montana Proud” American Indian poster series. The posters showcase young Montana American Indians and tell their success stories.
Posters of these 14 individuals will be sent to every Montana middle and high school. They are meant to promote American Indian culture and inspire all Montana students to succeed. The poster series will be showcased at an event in the Montana Capitol Rotunda on Wednesday, August 8th. The event is open to the public and will begin at 11:00am.
“Montana’s rich heritage is being incorporated into classroom learning,” Superintendent Arntzen said Friday. “I hope to see these posters of successful Montana American Indians inspiring students across our state. ALL Montana students should be proud of their heritage and inspired to succeed!”
