MT Department of Revenue Announces Alcohol License Lottery Winners
Helena – The Montana Department of Revenue announces the winners of today’s public lottery drawing for the opportunity to apply for seven available alcoholic beverage licenses.
These are the winners of the lottery for each area and liquor license type:
Bozeman/Belgrade All-Beverages Floater Licenses (2 available): Peter J Sclafani, III, Burgard 25, LLC
Bozeman/Belgrade City Beer License: FMK, Inc.
Bozeman/Belgrade Restaurant Beer and Wine License: Cosmic Pizza, Inc.
Missoula City Beer License: Douglas H. Day
Missoula Restaurant Beer and Wine License: Rattlesnake Market and Café, LLC
Broadwater County New All-Beverages License: Scott V. Johnson
The successful applicants are posted online at revenue.mt.gov. Lottery operators also drew the names of runners up. The successful applicants now need to submit applications for the specified licenses. If the application is not approved, the next person drawn can apply. Depending on the type of license application, the lottery winners have 30 or 60 days to submit their applications. The lottery was held this morning at the department’s liquor warehouse, located at 2517 Airport Road, Helena. It was open to the public to attend. Several official witnesses monitored the drawing and recorded the results.
The department is currently seeking applications for two more available licenses. One is for a Fergus County All-Alcoholic Beverages Floater license. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. If more than one application is received a lottery will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. The second available license is for one Culbertson City Beer License. The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2017. If more than one application is received a lottery will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10 a.m.
A floater license is an All-Alcoholic Beverage license that may be transferred to a new location outside the quota area for which it was originally issued.
