After careful consideration, Local Government Interim Committee Chair MacDonald and Vice Chair Custer have decided to cancel the March 17-18 meeting in Helena in light of concerns for the health and wellness of committee members, presenters, and the general public.
In the context of the nationwide response to the coronavirus, cancelling the meeting is in the best interest of the public as well as legislators and staff. The committee will continue its work, and the next meeting is scheduled for May 13-14. The committee will determine if additional meeting days are necessary to complete its interim workload.
