The Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) will meet Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in room 303 of the State Capitol building and via zoom. The Legislative Audit Committee ensures accountability for the disposition and use of public funds, and the efficient and effective management of state government programs. The committee meets regularly to review Independent Audit Reports, interact with audited agencies, and advise and consult with the Legislative Auditor and the staff of the Legislative Audit Division.
Financial-compliance reports scheduled for review in December include: Teachers’ Retirement Board; Public Employees’ Retirement Board; Montana Board of Investments; and Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education. Financial audit reports scheduled for review include: Montana Board of Housing; and State of Montana.
Scheduled for review is an information systems audit titled Child Care Under the Big Sky (CCUBS) System Modernization and Security. As well as a performance audit titled Professional Development Center.
The committee will be discussing Financial, Performance, and Information Systems audit status updates and previous committee requests.
