HELENA - Superintendent Elsie Arntzen and the Project AWARE team at the Office of Public Instruction are excited to announce the 2024 Educator Wellness Workshop on November 9-10, 2024, at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort with check-in beginning on November 8. Registration is open to all Montana educators. Capacity for this event is limited so please register early. The agenda for the November workshop can be found here.

“As a classroom teacher for 23 years, I understand the relationship between mental health and being a successful educator,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Our children learn best when our teachers are mentally and emotionally healthy. I encourage all Montana educators to take advantage of these wellness workshops.”

OPI partnered with Full Circle Wellness to provide mini sessions that focus on Montana educator’s well-being. Protecting educator mental health and overall wellbeing creates a more resilient and responsive educational system. In this wellness workshop, educators will be submerged in several evidence-based and healing-centered practices. Educators will leave the workshop with a toolbox of evidence-based practices to bring back to the classroom. Renewal units for the workshop are available in addition to lodging, milage and meal reimbursements at the state approved rate.

Additional workshops are being planned across the state to accommodate other regions. The next Educator Wellness Workshop is being organized for January. When dates and details are finalized, information and registration will be posted on the OPI Coordinated School Health Website.
