HELENA – Superintendent Elsie Arntzen is pleased to sponsor the 3rd Virtual Teacher Job Fair. This virtual format allows Montana school districts to connect with qualified teacher candidates. The job fair is offered at no cost to prospective teachers. Districts pay a fee of $89 to participate. Over 25 school districts and organizations have registered and are seeking quality Montana educators to fill positions such as:
- Career and Technical Education
- Special Education
- Math
- English
- Science
- Health and PE
- School Counseling
- Social Studies
- Spanish
- School Counseling
- Elementary Education
- School Administration
“This is Montana local control in action,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Allowing virtual flexibility for districts to recruit quality candidates creatively serves our schools and educator candidates. This is a solution for Montana’s teacher recruitment challenges that matches qualified teacher candidates to the immediate needs of Montana schools and students.”
The 25 plus participating school districts range from small rural districts to larger districts. Montana, the United States, and international communities are represented by over 170 teacher candidates. Candidates were able to browse job openings and booths from Saturday, February 26 through Tuesday, March 1, 2022. Districts can conduct on-the-spot interviews and candidates may be hired directly from this event. Next week, districts will receive information on all of the candidates that participated to further the hiring process. All candidate information is linked to the state licensing system, which allows for ease of licensing.
