Superintendent Arntzen to Host Sixth Community Discussion on Education Legislation
HELENA – Superintendent Arntzen will host the sixth monthly virtual community discussion focusing on education legislation passed during the 68th legislative session. This discussion will be held on November 29, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom and will be moderated by the Office of Public Instruction’s Chief Legal Counsel, Rob Stutz. These are open opportunities for parents, families, teachers, school leaders, and legislators to participate. The theme is Local Accountability: How Recent Legislation Affects Families, Students, and Communities.
“The right to defend ourselves against harm shouldn’t stop when on school grounds, as with HB 450,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Montana parents know best when their children are ready to discuss private issues. Montana acknowledges male and female in classroom instruction via SB 458.”
