Superintendent Arntzen to Host Fourth Community Discussion on Education Legislation
HELENA – Superintendent Arntzen will host the fourth monthly virtual community discussion focusing on education legislation passed during the 68th legislative session. This discussion will be held on September 20, 2023, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Zoom and will be moderated by the Office of Public Instruction’s Chief Legal Counsel. These are open opportunities for parents, families, teachers, school leaders, and legislators to participate. The theme is Local Accountability: How Recent Legislation Affects Families, Students, and Communities.
“Parents are our children’s first and forever teachers,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Our monthly Community Meetings help bring clarity to the intent behind recently passed legislation. Tonight’s discussion will emphasize the importance of parental involvement in our education system. Please join us each month as we continue to help strengthen understanding for parents, families, school leaders, and teachers.”
The September discussion will focus on legislation addressing parental rights in education:
