Superintendent Arntzen to Host Conversations with Community Members, School Leaders, and Legislators

HELENA – Superintendent Elsie Arntzen is hosting four community events on education next week in preparation for the upcoming legislative session. The theme of these events is Bridging the Communication Between Schools and Families. The events will take place in Kalispell, Stevensville, Billings, and Great Falls between December 12 and 19, 2022, and are open to parents, school leaders, and legislators. The event in Billings will be open to post-secondary leaders as well.

“Parents and families play an important role in the education of our children,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “My Montana Hope initiative is focused on family and community engagement in the education of all of our students. I invite all parents and school leaders to join local legislators for these conversations on putting our Montana students first.”

The event times and locations are:

  • Kalispell: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Sykes Diner, 202 2nd Ave W, Kalispell, MT
  • Stevensville: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Stevensville Elementary School, 300 Park Avenue, Stevensville, MT
  • Billings: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Montana State University Billings in the Montana Center Room (122) in the College of Education Building, 1500 University Drive, Billings, MT
  • Great Falls: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Great Falls College in Heritage Hall, 2100 16th Avenue South, Great Falls, MT

The events will begin with a meet and greet followed by legislators sharing their goals for education during the upcoming session. Each event will close with an opportunity for parents and school leaders to ask questions of the legislators.
