GREAT FALLS – Superintendent Arntzen is grateful that Central Montana Works! is hosting Worlds of Work (WOW) Career Exploration for Montana students. WOW will take place at Great Falls College -  MSU and the University of Providence in Great Falls on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. WOW is a highly interactive event that engages middle and high school students through hands-on learning activities to introduce career pathways.

“WOW reflects my Montana Ready initiative, which focuses on creating career pathways for our Montana students,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Ensuring that our children have access to meaningful careers after graduation strengthens the future of our great state. I appreciate the partnership between the Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and the Office of Public Instruction’s career coaches in putting our Montana students first!”

“Kelsey Brown has been a tremendous asset to our steering committee,” said Scott Wolff, Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Director of Workforce Education Coalition and Development. “As a regional career coach at OPI, plus her experience as a teacher, she has been able to convey not just the importance of exposing students to career opportunities like these, but the value of the event and the partnerships it builds to school administrators. We are very grateful to have her involvement in the planning and execution of Worlds of Work.”

There will be over 70 business representatives at the event with a 5-7 minute interactive activity for students. Currently, there are around 2,100 students from 14 rural and small schools along with three high schools and two middle schools from Great Falls Public Schools registered to attend WOW. This event is made possible through the amazing collaboration of multiple agencies including Great Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, Cascade County United Way, Great Falls Public Schools, University of Providence, Great Falls College – MSU, and many other business partners.
