Superintendent Arntzen Hosts Dr. Yong Zhao for Teacher Leader and Executive Leadership Academies in Great Falls
HELENA – Superintendent Arntzen welcomes Dr. Yong Zhao to Montana’s seventh session of the Teacher Leader Academy and the sixth session of the Executive Leadership Academy on February 24 and 25, 2023 in Great Falls. The theme for February is Rethinking Education. Dr. Zhao will focus on understanding, creating, and developing personalized learning plans for students.
“Personalized learning is a student-centered approach to academic success,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “I am grateful that an expert, Dr. Zhao, is providing Montana teachers with the tools necessary to help our children reach educational excellence. The Montana Teacher Leader Academy is an opportunity to prepare our teachers to put our Montana students first.”
Dr. Yong Zhao’s work focuses on technology in education. He has published over 100 articles and 30 books. He challenges leaders all over the world to identify what their students need for their success and what barriers exist in their current methods and systems. Montana leaders will understand the need to develop personalized learning with students as the owners of their learnings; how to create the capacity to develop learning programs that offer personalized learning; develop the capability to lead and implement personalization, a key learning program for student growth and engagement.
