Superintendent Arntzen Delivers Workforce Development Initiative Funds to Montana Schools
HELENA – Superintendent Arntzen is pleased to announce $1.5 million in Career and Technical Education (CTE) funding to Montana school districts. These funds support essential CTE programs for nearly 47,500 Montana students. CTE programs help create pathways for high-demand and well-paying careers and help cultivate a skilled workforce that meets the needs of local and national industries and communities.
“My Montana Ready initiative focuses on expanding Career and Technical Education that create more robust pathways for workforce development,” said Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. “Our Montana students are our most precious resource. These funds are an investment for the future growth of our great state.”
The CTE funding allows school districts to:
- enhance their programs
- invest in up-to-date equipment
- expand course offerings
- provide students with hands-on experience in fields such as healthcare, information technology, manufacturing, and agriculture
CTE funds are distributed based on district needs and program goals, which enables districts to prioritize resources in order to maximize student success. Montana’s CTE programs have shown significant positive impacts. Students that participate in CTE programs graduate at higher rates and obtaining certifications that increase competitiveness in the job market.
