The Montana State Library Commission meets six times per year. Commissioners include Vice-Chair Kenning Arlitsch, appointee of the commissioner of Higher Education; Elsie Arntzen, Superintendent of Public Instruction; Dalton Johnson of Missoula, Kristin Kerr of Helena, Chair Bruce Newell of Helena, Robyn Scribner of Geraldine, and Peggy Taylor of Shelby.

 

At this meeting, the Commission will receive updates and reports about the Montana Shared Catalog Partners resource sharing, American Rescue Plan Act related expenditures, Montana Memory Project migration to Recollect, Sensory Trail partnership opportunity with the Montana Historical Society, Hoffman York rebranding process, State Library policies changes, FY 2022 Work Plan, State Library, and Commission calendar. They will consider the consent agenda, Montana State Library Trust request, Public Library Standards adoption, Network Advisory Council’s Montana Library Network Core Services framework, and election of Commission officers. They will recognize staff for longevity of service.

 

Members of the public who wish to share written comment or pertinent visual materials to the Commission must submit written public comment to the State Librarian, Jennie Stapp, no later than 24 hours before the start of the public meeting.
