Montana State Library Commission to Meet

Online

(HELENA)--- The Montana State Library Commission will meet online on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.  For an agenda, meeting materials, and information about how to join the online meeting, visit:  https://mslservices.mt.gov/ASPeN/Events/Event_Detail?Committee_ID=1.  

The Montana State Library Commission meets six times per year. Commissioners include Chair Bruce Newell of Helena, Vice-chair Kenning Arlitsch, appointee of the Commissioner of Higher Education, Elsie Arntzen, Superintendent of Public Instruction, Connie Behe of Kalispell, Jamie Doggett of White Sulphur Springs, Dalton Johnson of Missoula, and Ken Wall of Missoula.

At this meeting, the Commission will consider the FY’21 first quarter financial report, a volunteer policy, the Legislative Finance Committee’s actions pertaining to the interim House Bill 633 study and FY’20 annual reports for the six Montana Library Federations.  They will also receive updates and reports on the State Library FY’20 annual report, various request for proposals, the Trust for Montana Libraries, the Montana Land Information Advisory Council, the Montana Shared Catalog Partners resource sharing, the Public Library Standards revision process, Montana Census champions and several more.

Members of the public who wish to share written comment or pertinent visual materials to the Commission must submit written public comment to the State Librarian, Jennie Stapp, no later than 24 hours before the start of the public meeting.
