FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Artists Invited to Submit Proposals for Southwest Montana Veterans’ Home
Helena, Mont., January 15, 2021. For those who’ve served our country in the military, coming home means having a home. But as time goes on not all veterans do, and it’s why the Southwest Montana Veterans’ Home (SWMVH) located in Butte, Montana was envisioned and is now under construction. The SWMVH is a skilled nursing facility laid out in a cottage format with a community center. As part of its vision for providing an engaging environment that its residents can truly call home, Montana’s Percent for Art program has allocated funding for visual artworks to be included on site. Artwork from successful proposals will be located primarily in the home’s community center; finished artwork available for purchase is recommended but not required. Proposals are due by January 29.
For artists wishing to submit proposals, the project’s overview, submission requirements, selection process, timeline, payment and other details are available as a downloadable PDF from the Montana Arts Council. The document also contains links to the Home’s physical layout for those wishing to consider site-specific work.
For those ready to submit a proposal for the Southwest Montana Veterans Home project, artists may follow the link in the Call for Artists PDF above or by visiting the Montana Arts Council’s Application Portal.
Montana’s Percent for Art program is administered by the Montana Arts Council, the state agency tasked with promoting the arts, arts education, our creative economy, and creative opportunities for all Montanans.
