State Administration Committee Meeting Jan. 16

The State Administration and Veterans' Affairs Interim Committee will be meeting Thursday, Jan. 16, beginning at 8 a.m. in room 102 of the Capitol. 

The agenda will cover:

  • Ethics - information about whether an educational event for legislators constitutes a gift of substantial value.
     
  • Lobbying - a review of potential study topics to help determine the scope of study. 
     
  • HJ 23 study on veterans' affairs - information on selected states and the Ravalli County Veterans' Service Center.
     
  • HJ 3 study on accessibility for disabled electors - county and school survey results and review of a preliminary bill draft, LCsa01.

Background on the Ballot Interference Protection Act (BIPA), which was to be an agenda item for this meeting, has been moved to the March 25 meeting. 

Public comment is invited as scheduled on the agenda. The meeting will be live streamed at http://leg.mt.gov and will be broadcast on the Montana Public Affairs Network (MPAN.)
