MUS 2-Year Commission to Explore Connections Between Education and Workforce

The Montana University System (MUS) 2-Year Commission established by HB 754 (2019; Vinton) meets on Monday, January 27, 2020, in room 317 of the state Capitol and will focus on partnerships between 2-year campuses and industry and on ways of helping Montana students identify career pathways and postsecondary educational options. The meeting begins at 10 a.m.

The 16-member commission includes House members Jacob Bachmeier, D-Havre; John Fuller, R-Kalispell; Bradley Hamlett, D-Cascade, Llew Jones, R-Conrad; Sue Vinton, R-Billings. Senate members appointed to the commission are Dee Brown, R-Hungry Horse; Margie MacDonald, D-Billings; Edie McClafferty, D-Butte; and Fred Thomas, R-Stevensville. Non-legislator members are: Board of Regents of Higher Education members Casey Lozar and Paul Tuss; Board of Public Education member Madalyn Quinlan; Associated Students of Montana President Taylor Blossom; Dr. Sandra Boham, President of Salish Kootenai College; Joe Billion, Bozeman; and John Mercer, Polson.
