Local Government Subcommittee to Discuss Experimental Wastewater Systems Bill Draft
At its July 15th meeting, the Local Government Interim Committee appointed a subcommittee to continue discussions with the Department of Environmental Quality and other stakeholders regarding proposed legislation: PD8v2 - Revising the timeline for experimental system review and approval. Chair MacDonald appointed Senator Jason Ellsworth, Senator John Esp, Senator Sue Malek, and Representative Mary Ann Dunwell to the subcommittee.
The subcommittee will meet via Zoom on Tuesday, July 28 at 10 am. The meeting will not be broadcast, but minutes will be kept and made available to the public.
The public is welcome to submit written comments and provide comments at the meeting. Please email staff at toni.henneman@mt.gov if you wish to provide written comment or to request a link to the meeting.
The subcommittee will provide recommendations to the full LGIC on September 9 for the committee's consideration.
