The Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) will meet Wednesday, December 9, 2020, in room 172 of the State Capitol building and via zoom. The Legislative Audit Committee ensures accountability for the disposition and use of public funds, and the efficient and effective management of state government programs. The committee meets regularly to review Independent Audit Reports, interact with audited agencies, and advise and consult with the Legislative Auditor and the staff of the Legislative Audit Division.
Financial-compliance reports scheduled for review in December include Department of Corrections, Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Department of Administration, Department of Revenue and Office of State Public Defender.
Scheduled for review are two follow-up audits tiled Governance Practices for Information Technology Investments and Oversight of State Agency Procurement Card Use.
The committee will be discussing potential information systems audits for calendar year 2021 and providing input to their staff on prioritization of these projects for the upcoming year.
