LJIC Continues Study of Sexual and Violent Offender Registries on June 12

The Law and Justice Interim Committee (LJIC) meets on June 12 via video conference. First the committee members will hear an update from the presiding officer of the Board of Pardons and Parole. Then, they will focus their attention on the SJ 19 interim study of the state's sexual and violent offender registries. Time will be provided for public comment.

The meeting starts at 8 a.m. and will be streamed live online at: https://leg.mt.gov/. It will also be broadcast on the Montana Public Affairs Network, or MPAN.

An agenda and other meeting materials are posted on the LJIC's website. Materials include instructions on how the public can offer comment during the meeting.

Written public comments are also accepted and encouraged. Written comments received by 12 p.m. (noon) on June 11 will be provided to the committee members in advance of the meetings. Written comments received after that time will be included in the committee's minutes log for the meeting.
