LJIC Cancels Full March 30-31 Meeting

Legislative Branch
  • March 16 2020

The Law and Justice Interim Committee (LJIC) will not meet in Missoula as planned on March 30-31. Instead, the committee members will hold a short conference call meeting on March 30 to receive an update on the status of the committee's interim work plan and studies and to decide on plans for future interim meeting topics.

Committee Chairman Rep. Barry Usher and Vice Chair Sen. Jen Gross cancelled the regularly planned meeting due to public health concerns. The presiding officers did not make this decision lightly, but in the context of the nationwide response to the coronavirus.

The conference call meeting will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 30. An agenda will be available on or before March 20. Members of the public will be encouraged to provide written comments to committee staff prior to the meeting for distribution to the members. Additional information will be available along with the agenda later this week.

For more information about the LJIC and its work, please visit the committee's website or contact its staff.
