Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee meets July 15-16

The 2019-2020 Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee (ETIC) will meet July 15-16 via zoom and in room 172 of the State Capitol. The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. in Room 172.

ETIC members will continue their work on the grid infrastructure and resilience study with a panel discussion on grid capacity and energy development. They will also discuss draft legislation related to the committee's Public Service Commission study.

Committee members will also consider legislative proposals related to wind farm sighting near military installations, E-rate broadband funding and railroad rights of way issues. The committee will hear updates on the Montana climate solutions council, the state's high-performance building program, and the call-before-you-dig program.
