Districting Commission Meets June 10

The Montana Districting and Apportionment Commission meets at 8:30 a.m. on June 10 in a video conference. The commissioners will learn about the legal underpinnings of the redistricting process. In addition, they will discuss recent disruptions to the Census process caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting agenda includes time for public comment.

An agenda and other materials are available on the commission's website. Materials include instructions on how members of the public can offer comment during the meeting.

Written public comments are also accepted and encouraged. Written comments received by 12 p.m. (noon) on June 9 will be distributed to the commission members prior to the meeting. Written comments received after that time will be included in the commission's minutes log for the meeting and sent to members after the meeting.

Written comments may be e-mailed to districting@mt.gov, submitted using the commission's online comment form, or mailed to Districting and Apportionment Commission, PO Box 201706, Helena, MT, 59620.

Any oral or written public comment provided to the committee is a public record that is recorded, archived, and available on the web.

The meeting will be streamed live at leg.mt.gov.
