Governor Gianforte Distributes Thanksgiving Turkeys at Helena Food Share

HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte this afternoon helped distribute Thanksgiving turkeys at Helena Food Share.

"We have so much to be grateful for as Montanans," Governor Gianforte said. "This Thanksgiving week, I encourage Montanans to give what they can, including the gift of their time, to support our neighbors in need."

Founded in 1987, Helena Food Share provides emergency food for 1,500 families in the Helena area each month.

According to the Montana Food Bank Network, approximately 1 in 12 Montanans struggle with hunger and over 31,000 Montana children live in food insecure homes.
