SIDNEY, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today contributed a quarter of his salary to Hi-Line Home Programs, a nonprofit providing family-centered, home-based support services, which would otherwise be inaccessible, to children and families in northeast Montana.
“Serving communities from Chester to Lambert, Hi-Line Home Programs fills a critical gap in services for parents of children with developmental delays as well as parents who open their loving homes to children in our foster care system,” Gov. Gianforte said. “They believe, like I do, in helping every child reach his or her full potential, and I’m proud to support them in their mission.”

Visiting with program director Sheila Doll today, the governor learned more about the educational opportunities, support, and in-home services the organization provides to families, particularly those with children who have been identified with developmental delays or at risk for delays.
“Children are Montana’s most precious assets. Assisting them to reach their full potential by providing services, especially disability services in northeastern Montana, is rewarding for us, and for the families that we serve,” Doll told the governor.
The governor also heard from a foster mother Hi-Line Home Programs serves.
“Having a partner in this, having someone who can find resources, means a lot,” said the mother.
In October 2020, the governor committed to Montanans he would contribute his salary as governor to nonprofit organizations and charities in the state. This marks the second salary contribution of the governor’s 2023 12 Days of Giving campaign.
Running through December 13, the governor’s third annual 12 Days of Giving campaign will highlight the work of a dozen organizations serving Montanans in need.
