Governor Gianforte Celebrates Montana Meat Day
HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today celebrated Montana Meat Day, recognizing the farmers and ranchers who raise high quality livestock and help drive Montana’s number one industry.
“Every day is meat day in Montana,” Gov. Gianforte said. “Our farmers and ranchers produce some of the highest quality beef and other livestock in the world. Their work feeds our communities, supports jobs, and helps fuel Montana’s number one industry.”
Gov. Gianforte visits with the owners of Cattlemen’s Cut
The governor visited Cattlemen’s Cut Steakhouse in Great Falls to highlight the importance of Montana’s livestock producers. Owned by Julie Meyer, Joe Garrity, and Eric Garrity, Cattlemen’s Cut Steakhouse is known for serving high-quality, locally sourced beef and telling its story from pasture to plate.
Each year on March 20, the governor recognizes Montana Meat Day in honor and support of farmers and ranchers who raise livestock that feed families across Montana, the nation, and the world.
Montana’s livestock producers raise beef, pork, lamb, poultry, and other protein products that are part of a healthy, balanced diet. Across the state, ranching families rely on livestock production to support their livelihoods while stewarding the land for future generations.
