Gov. Gianforte Statement on Appointment of New MSU President
HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today released the following statement after the Montana Board of Regents announced the appointment of Dr. Brock Tessman to serve as the 13th president of Montana State University (MSU):
“Congratulations to Dr. Tessman on his appointment to serve as the next president of Montana State University. In speaking with Dr. Tessman, I know he is an innovative leader who is the right person to lead our state’s only land-grant university. I’m especially grateful for his commitment to expanding MSU’s Gallatin College as well as its public-private partnerships, ensuring Montanans, including alternative and high school students, have access to a high-quality education.
“I’d also like to thank President Waded Cruzado for her 15 years of service to MSU and the Treasure State. Under her transformational leadership, MSU increased enrollment, expanded research, and served Montanans across our state. She has been a historic leader, and I wish her well in her next chapter.”
