Gov. Gianforte Announces Board Appointments

HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today announced the following appointments:

Board of Regents

• Amy Sexton, Billings: Serving as Student Regent for the Montana University System since July 2020, Sexton attends MSU-Billings where she is studying accounting and mathematics. Sexton’s term will run through June 30, 2022.

Montana Tax Appeal Board

• Daniel Zolnikov, Billings: A small business owner, Zolnikov served in the Montana House of Representatives from 2013 to 2020, including as chairman of the House Energy and Technology Committee. In 2014, Zolnikov was recognized by Forbes Magazine as a national leader under the age of 30 in law and policy. Zolnikov’s term will run through December 31, 2022.

Judicial Standards Commission

• Roger Webb, Billings: A state senator for two terms, Webb served on a variety of committees, including as chair of the Montana Senate’s taxation, local government, and energy and telecommunications committees. Webb’s term will run through June 30, 2025.

Montana State Fund

• Dexter Thiel, Sidney: Thiel has served as president of Thiel Brothers Roofing since 1983, a family-owned company that has served Richland County for nearly seventy years. Thiel’s term will run through March 31, 2023.
