HELENA, Mont. – Governor Gianforte today visited Discovery Kidzone in Clancy to promote $31 million in grant funds available to child care facilities across Montana.
“For too long, Montana’s working families have faced a shortage of child care providers, putting them between a rock and a hard place. The pandemic has only exacerbated this problem,” Gov. Gianforte said. “To stabilize our child care system and support child care facilities, we’re encouraging providers across the state to take advantage of this critical program to bolster their operations.”
Gov. Gianforte reads to kids during his visit to Discovery Kidzone in Clancy.
A family owned Preschool and Daycare center facility, Discovery Kidzone serves over 300 children and has 48 educational professionals on staff.
Two weeks ago, at the governor’s direction, Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) made $31 million in federal funding available to Montanan child care providers.
Registered and licensed child care providers can apply for the funding online by going to childcare.mt.gov.
