Governor’s Proclamation

WHEREAS, for generations, members of the United States military have put their lives on the line to protect and defend the United States Constitution and the freedoms we hold dear;

WHEREAS, our nation’s veterans have sacrificed extended time away from their families, demonstrated bravery and unwavering strength, and may wear scars – both visible and invisible – from years serving our nation in uniform; and

WHEREAS, as our debt to them will never be repaid, it is the privilege of every American to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans and honor our commitments to them each day, and especially on Veterans Day; and

WHEREAS, Montana is the proud home to one of the highest populations of veterans per capita in the United States.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Greg Gianforte, Governor of the State of Montana, do hereby proclaim November 11, 2021

VETERANS DAY

to honor our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, neighbors, and friends who have bravely served our nation in uniform.
