HELENA, Mont. – Governor Greg Gianforte today announced Janicki Industries selected Great Falls for the site of a $800 million manufacturing campus expected to create 1,000 good-paying jobs.

“We are thrilled to welcome Janicki Industries to Montana and celebrate the company’s $800 million investment in Great Falls,” Gov. Gianforte said. “Through its creation of over 1,000 good-paying jobs, Janicki will inspire innovation, strengthen our economy, and support our growing communities for years to come.”

Janicki Industries is a privately owned engineering and manufacturing company founded in 1993 with more than three decades of experience in advanced composites, precision machining, and metal fabrication. The company currently operates over 1 million square feet of facilities across Washington and Utah, employing more than 2,000 people.

During an annual meeting of the Great Falls Development Authority, the president of Janicki, John Janicki, announced the company is expanding to Montana and is purchasing 180 acres of shovel-ready land within the AgriTech Park with construction expected to begin in July 2026 and the first phase of the campus anticipated to open by the end of 2027. Within the first five years, Janicki expects to create 1,000 jobs with total employment exceeding 2,000 jobs once campus construction is complete.

“We are very thankful for our customers and grateful for the employees who continue to meet or exceed our customers' needs,” said John Janicki, president of Janicki. “We believe in creating an environment where hard work, innovation and collaboration are rewarded, not only professionally, but through opportunities to build a life, own a home, raise a family or pursue entrepreneurial goals. Great Falls embodies the kind of community where we feel those opportunities can flourish.”

Due to sustained growth of aerospace, defense and space programs, Janicki Industries was looking to expand from Washington state to meet increasing customer demand. The announcement of the company’s selection of Great Falls follows a multi-month site evaluation process.

In a press release announcing their expansion, John Janicki said, “Washington is our home, and that is not changing. Our footprint in Washington has continued to grow but is slowing due to ever-increasing regulations and lack of business understanding at an executive and legislative level.”

He continued, “Decisions at the state level not only make it difficult for our employees to achieve the American Dream, but it is making it difficult for us to create new jobs for future employees by investing in local growth. With this in mind, it is best for Janicki to focus its large-scale expansion into a more business-friendly environment, so we are pursuing out-of-state growth.”

Since taking office, Gov. Gianforte has prioritized creating the best environment for business and more opportunities for Montanans by simplifying state income tax brackets from seven to two, providing income tax cuts for Montanans at every income level, securing immediate and long-term property tax relief, and increasing the supply of affordable workforce housing.

“The Treasure State is proud to attract job creators like Janicki that choose to expand from high-tax, high-regulation blue states to take advantage of our unmatched quality of life, lower taxes, and strong workforce. I look forward to seeing the impact of this significant investment,” the governor concluded.
