BOZEMAN, Mont. – Marking the 7th Day of Governor Gianforte’s 12 Days of Giving campaign, First Lady Susan Gianforte yesterday visited the Human Resource Development Council’s (HRDC) Warming Center and Housing First Village.

“On behalf of a grateful state, thank you to the Human Resource Development Council team for lending a hand to those in need and making an important difference in the Bozeman community,” First Lady Susan Gianforte said. “The Warming Center and Housing First Village not only offer residents a safe place to stay, but also critical support in getting back on their feet. If you’re able, I encourage Montanans to consider supporting HRDC this holiday season.”

While visiting HRDC’s Warming Center, the first lady organized and sorted donated items for residents.

HRDC’s Warming Center provides Montanans struggling with homelessness with a warm, safe place to sleep during winter months. The center also provides a variety of services, including job search assistance, peer support and recovery groups, showers, and personal laundry.

HRDC also recently opened the Housing First Village, which aims to provide transformative housing to individuals experiencing chronic homelessness.

After organizing donated items for residents with staff at the Warming Center, the First Lady toured the Housing First Village.

Running through mid-December, the governor’s 12 Days of Giving campaign will highlight the work of a dozen organizations serving Montanans in need.
