Notice of Public Hearing - Headwaters Livestock Transfer of Ownership

On June 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., the Montana Department of Livestock will hold a public hearing at Headwaters Livestock Auction in Three Forks Montana, to receive public comment regarding the below stated request. Alan Zackheim, Agency Legal Services, has been designated to preside over and conduct this hearing.

On May 15, 2023, Brandon Blackstock, sole owner of Valley View LLC, submitted a petition letter to request a change in name and ownership of license for Headwaters Livestock Auction in Three Forks, MT. Additionally, Jerry and Mary Olson, submitted a petition letter also requesting approval for the change in ownership to Mr. Blackstock. Per Administrative Rule of Montana 32.15.104, changes in ownership of a livestock market are subject to approval by the Board of Livestock and require a public hearing.

Concerned persons may also submit comments in writing to the Executive Officer, Department of Livestock, 301 N. Roberts St., Room 308, P.O. Box 202001, Helena, MT 59620-2001, or by e- mailing to kelly.calnan@mt.gov to be received no later than June 9, 2023.
