Public Meeting for Creston Maintenance Site Gravel Pit Canceled

Department of Environmental Quality
  • April 04 2025
DEQ has canceled a public meeting originally scheduled for Monday, April 7 for Opencut Permit #OC3649 submitted by Prime Cut Construction, LLC to operate the Creston Maintenance site near Bigfork. Prime Cut Construction, LLC formally withdrew its application for an Opencut mining permit on Friday, April 4.
DEQ is working to notify all interested parties of the permit application withdrawal and corresponding meeting cancellation. The meeting was originally planned to take place at the Bigfork Performing Arts Center and would have involved a presentation by DEQ about the Opencut permitting process and a question-and-answer session.
This meeting will not be rescheduled and DEQ is no longer accepting public comment on the permit application or site as there is no active permit application for Opencut mining operations at the site.
