HELENA, Mont. – The Montana Broadband Office (MBO) announced today that the portal for Broadband Equity Access and Deployment (BEAD) applications will reopen on July 7, 2025, at 10:00 am MT. The application portal will close on July 25, 2025, at 11:55 pm MT.
"With the reopening of this portal, we can finally begin to bridge our digital divide, especially in unserved and underserved areas of our state," Gov. Gianforte said. "Thanks to the historic investments from the Legislature and the Trump administration, the Montana Broadband Office stands ready to connect more Montanans to the Internet. I look forward to seeing Montana make meaningful progress to bring our state online."
"The Montana Broadband Office is ready to move the BEAD process forward to finish the drill and connect Montanans," said Department of Administration (DOA) Director Misty Ann Giles. "We continue to be grateful for the new guidelines and know that broadband availability for unserved and underserved areas of our state is within reach."
Expanding access to reliable broadband is a top priority for Gov. Gianforte. Last month, the governor praised the Trump administration for streamlining the BEAD program by eliminating unnecessary regulations and policies from the Biden administration that hindered Montana's ability to bridge the state's digital divide.
The new BEAD application round is guided by the "Benefit of the Bargain" guidelines issued last month. The guidance and application will be available at ConnectMT.mt.gov on July 7, 2025. If you have any questions, please email us at connectmt@mt.gov.
