State to open new employee clinic in Anaconda

Grand opening is March 18, 2015

The State of Montana announced the opening of its newest state employee health center in Anaconda on March 18. Unlike other employee health centers operated by the State's contractor CareHere in locations around the state, this health center will operate in conjunction with Community Hospital of Anaconda and the Pintler Family Medicine East practice.  

“The Montana Health Center in Anaconda represents a new model of partnering with a local hospital in a way that benefits both State employees and Main Street Montana,” said Sheila Hogan, director of the Montana Department of Administration. “This center will give our hard-working correctional officers and other state employees in the Anaconda area increased access to important primary health care services so they can take good care of themselves and their families.”

Community Hospital CEO Steve McNeece said, “The hospital is pleased to collaborate with the State of Montana and CareHere to offer a state health clinic in Anaconda. We are excited for this opportunity and are committed to providing personalized, quality health care to the members of the State of Montana Benefit Plan.”  

The new health center will offer primary care services, chronic disease management, and health coaching at no cost to State of Montana Benefit Plan (State Plan) members at the Pintler Family Medicine East office at 1102 E. Commercial St.  State employees can call 855-200-6822 or visit to schedule an appointment at this new Montana Health Center. Appointments are limited to Wednesdays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Montana was the first state government in the nation to open employee health centers as a means of improving the health of its employees and reducing the costs of health care.
