FRANK LINDERMAN’S ‘VISIONS’ OF MONTANA TOPIC AT MHS
Frank Bird Linderman was one of Montana’s first literary figures and a true Montana pioneer.
On Thursday (May 19) at 6;30 p.m. at the Montana Historical Society historian Celeste River will present a free public program, “Visions and Native Wisdom in the Writings of Frank Bird Linderman,” of the larger than life pioneer who preserved true-life stories of his many friends in the 1800s including Native American leaders and cowboy artist Charlie Russell.
River will blend her own landscape photography with archival images she collected under a Humanities Montana research grant to tell Linderman’s story.
