THURSDAY IS FOR THE BIRDS AT MHS NATURAL HISTORY PROGRAN
The Montana Historical Society and the Last Chance Audubon Society proudly invite you to a program that is for the birds.
As part of the organizations’ co-sponsored Natural History March Lecture series, ecologist Kate Stone will present the film “The MPG Ranch” that features rarely witnessed bird behavior. After the film she will talk about a variety of bird research on such things as monitoring songbird populations and deploying tracking devices on northern saw-whet owls.
Stone coordinates programs on the MPG Ranch in the Bitterroot Valley. She oversees such things as plant community conversion, stabilization of eroding land and addition of woody structure to degraded areas.
