DEER LODGE – Montana State Prison warden Michael Fletcher today announced that inmate visitation will resume Saturday May 27. Visitations were cancelled for the weekend of May 20th due to an outbreak of influenza within the facility. Montana State Prison took precautionary measures including facility wide disinfecting, limiting inmate movement, and vaccinations. Please be advised that Montana State Prison continues to have influenza like illness within the facility. Those visitors that have chronic conditions such as lung problems, diabetes, heart disease, or immunocompromised are at higher risk to become sick if exposed. We are asking that if you have any of the above conditions to please reconsider visiting during this time.
Visitation is currently on a restricted schedule of Saturdays and Sundays from 2:30 to 7:30. Montana State Prison will return to the regular visiting schedule starting June 15, 2017. The regular schedule is Thursdays through Sundays from 2:30pm to 7:30pm.
The Montana State Prison toll-free phone message service will provide scheduling updates on the visitation hotline at 1-888-739-9122.
