Montana State Library Commission to Meet Online

(HELENA)--- The Montana State Library Commission will meet online on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. The public is invited to attend.  For an agenda, meeting materials, and information about how to join the online meeting, visit:

The Montana State Library Commission meets six times per year. Commissioners include Kenning Arlitsch, appointee of the commissioner of Higher Education; Elsie Arntzen, Superintendent of Public Instruction; Connie Behe of Kalispell, Jamie Doggett of White Sulphur Springs; Dalton Johnson of Missoula, Bruce Newell of Helena; and Vice-chair Ken Wall of Missoula.

At this meeting, the Commission will receive updates and reports about the Legislative session, House Bill 102, the Public Library Standards rewrite, Census differential privacy, the Natural Resource Information System, and the State Library. They will consider an art donation from a patron, MLIA grant awards, Excellent Library Service Awards, and the Network Advisory Council member slate. They will review the Commission calendar and recognize staff for longevity of service.

Members of the public who wish to share written comment or pertinent visual materials to the Commission must submit written public comment to the State Librarian, Jennie Stapp, no later than 24 hours before the start of the public meeting.
