The Montana Land Information Advisory Council was established by statute through the Montana Land Information Act with the purpose of establishing a planning framework for land information and granting processes throughout the state.  Members of the Council represent federal and state agencies, tribes, private businesses, local governments, the university system, and the Montana legislature.  This meeting is of particular importance as Council members begin to evaluate priorities in light of anticipated budget cuts that the Montana State Library may face in the coming biennium.

The Montana Land Information Advisory Council makes reasonable accommodations for any known disability that may interfere with a person’s ability to participate in the meeting.  Persons needing accommodations must notify the State Library prior to the meeting.  To make your request known, call (406) 444.3384, TDD 444.3005.

The Montana State Library chairs the Montana Land Information Advisory Council.  Through its statewide programs, the Montana State Library empowers Montanans; enhances learning in families and communities; builds 21st Century skills; and provides opportunities for civic participation.
