Montana Land Information Advisory Council

to Meet Online

The Montana Land Information Advisory Council will meet online Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., in conjunction with the Montana Association of Geographic Information Professionals’ (MAGIP) annual GIS conference, Big Sky GeoCon: https://pheedloop.com/bigskygeocon21/site/.

At this meeting, the council will consider recommendations for the fiscal year 2022 Montana Land Information Act (MLIA) grant program, recommendations for updating Montana’s Spatial Reference Best Practice, and a COVID-19 special extension request for the FY2020 MLIA Grant Program.  

Members of the public who wish to share written comment or pertinent visual materials to the Council must submit written public comment to GIS Coordinator, Erin Fashoway, no later than 24 hours before the start of the public meetings.

The Montana Land Information Advisory Council was established by statute through the Montana Land Information Act with the purpose of establishing a planning framework for land information and granting process for Montana.  Members of the Council represent federal and state agencies, tribes, private businesses, local governments, the university system, and the Montana legislature.
