TROUT MANAGEMENT TOPIC AT MHS NATURAL HISTORY TALK
The Madison River is one of the best known trout fishing waters in Montana.
Retired Fish, Wildlife and Parks Fisheries Manager Dick Vincent will present a free public program, ”Wild Trout Management,” Thursday (March 16) at 6:30 p.m. as part of the MHS and Last Chance Audubon Society Natural History series.
It is based on is research on the Madison River in the 1960s and 1970s that led to current wild trout management philosophy and the end of stocking hatchery trout in rivers and streams.
