Governor Steve Bullock and Department of Administration Director John Lewis today presented the 2019 Governor’s Awards for Excellence in Performance to state employees.
“It’s a great honor to recognize the employees who work each day to make this state a better place to live, work, and raise a family,” said Governor Bullock. “Our employees are hardworking and dedicated to providing invaluable public service that impacts the lives of Montana citizens daily.”
Established in 1990 by former Governor Stan Stephens, the Governor’s Awards honor and recognize exceptional state employees. The awards are presented annually to employees from across the state who have gone above and beyond to ensure state government provides meaningful services to the citizens of Montana.
Recipients of the awards include individuals or teams who serve the public and implemented ideas that make government more efficient and effective for employees and citizens alike.
“In every corner of government, state employees are making a positive difference and working to ensure our state is running effectively and efficiently. These awards are one way we get to thank them for their commitment and dedication to the State of Montana,” said Director Lewis.
A total of 267 awards were shared today during a special award ceremony at the Great Northern Hotel. A full list of winners is available at http://hr.mt.gov/governorsawards.
