Jason DeShaw and Superintendent Arntzen Partner to Bring Message of Hope to Montana Students

Helena, MT —There is hope and there is help.

That’s the message national award-winning speaker and country singer Jason DeShaw is imparting on the Montana Schools Tour. The tour reached 11 schools last fall and begins again this month. It is in collaboration with State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. 

Superintendent Arntzen Announces Suicide Prevention and Response Negotiated Rulemaking Committee Members

HELENA—State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen has selected 16 people to serve on the Suicide Prevention and Response negotiated rulemaking committee (Committee). 

OPI to Offer New Online Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Resources for Teachers

The Office of Public Instruction’s Teacher Learning Hub will now offer Montana teachers a program called “At-Risk: Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Role-Play Simulations”.

This release was corrected on September 5. The last sentence of the second bullet was deleted because it was inaccurate. 

The State-Tribal Relations Committee holds its first meeting of the 2017-2018 interim on July 13 in Helena. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. in Room 137 of the Capitol.
