Jason DeShaw and Superintendent Arntzen Partner to Bring Message of Hope to Montana Students

Helena, MT —There is hope and there is help.

That’s the message national award-winning speaker and country singer Jason DeShaw is imparting on the Montana Schools Tour. The tour reached 11 schools last fall and begins again this month. It is in collaboration with State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen. 

The Legislative Audit Committee (LAC) will meet Tuesday, December 12-13, 2017, in room 172 of the state Capitol building in Helena. Legislative Audit Committee to review Department of Public Health and Human Services, The Montana University System including the Commissioner’s Office, Montana State Fund, and the Office of Public Instruction at the December meeting.

The Education Interim Committee will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in Room 137 of the state Capitol building in Helena. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m.

HELENA – Governor Steve Bullock today released the following statement regarding the release of the 2015 Montana Graduation and Dropout Report by Superintendent Denise Juneau:


“Montana’s graduation rates are at record levels and the future is bright for our students, our state, and our economy. Putting more students on a path to success will better prepare Montanans for the jobs of tomorrow and is a critical step in addressing Montana’s future workforce needs.
