U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced today that she has given her approval to Montana’s state plan under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Superintendent Arntzen spoke on the phone with Secretary DeVos this afternoon about Montana’s plan.
HELENA—State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen and Office of Public Instruction (OPI) staff received initial feedback from the U.S. Department of Education (Department) today on Montana’s proposed education plan under the federal Every Student Succeeds Act.
In the United States, nothing injures and kills more teens than car crashes. Tomorrow, October 17th, is Teen Driver Safety Day in Montana. The OPI encourages high schools and parents across Montana to discuss best practices for safe driving with their students.
The Education Interim Committee will hold its second meeting on Tuesday, August 22, 2017, in Room 137 of the state Capitol building in Helena. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m.
