The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee and the House Joint Resolution 20 Subcommittee on transparency in health care pricing will not meet as scheduled next week, due to potential conflicts with the special legislative session that begins on Nov. 14.

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee will hold a conference call meeting at 1 p.m. on Nov. 8 to review a draft letter formally objecting to proposed administrative rules that would reduce provider reimbursement rates.

The Economic Affairs Interim Committee of the Legislature voted at its Sept. 14 meeting to devote a major portion of the next 12 months to studying the future of Montana State Fund.

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee will cover topics ranging from prescription drug costs to services for developmentally disabled adults to Medicaid funding and Medicaid provider rate cuts when it meets on Sept. 11. 

Fifteen people have been selected to serve on a subcommittee that will examine matters related to transparency in health care pricing, the presiding officer of a legislative interim committee announced on Wednesday. 

A legislative committee will wrap up a study of guardianship matters and Alzheimer's disease later this month when it takes action on several proposals for the 2017 Legislature.
A legislative committee will determine whether and how to proceed with several bill drafts related to guardianship matters and Alzheimer's disease when it meets June 20 in Helena.
A legislative committee will continue work on two mental health studies and review six preliminary bill drafts for its study of guardianship and Alzheimer's disease when it meets in Helena on May 9.
The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee will work on its three studies and hear about proposed legislation for pain patients when it meets March 10-11 in Helena.

The Children, Families, Health, and Human Services Interim Committee will hear national and state perspectives on guardianship, dementia, and children's mental health outcomes when it meets Jan. 11 in Helena.
